New version of Toledo Talk

Artomatic 419 - "The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, KickStart Toledo and others are working towards an event to happen in September. It will be a month-long multi-media arts event in the Uptown District of Toledo. We have secured a huge building on Adams Street to use as an anchor for gallery space, performances and installations. This is a 100% volunteer-driven event and we need the participation of the creative community and supporters to make this happen."

"The Uptown District is located to the west of Toledo's Central Business District. It is bounded by tenth street on the East, Washington Street on the South, Collingwood Blvd to the East and Woodruff and Adams Streets on the North. Uptown's location, adjacent to downtown and along the major corridors into the downtown business area, makes it an ideal area in which to locate a business."

"Artomatic 419 will provide opportunities for learning and development. Workshops, lectures, and panel discussions will cover topics from arts marketing to grant writing and portfolio development."

"A grass-roots steering committee comprised of local creatives, arts administrators and community activists is working to ensure the broadest possible community representation among participants."

"Artomatic is an organic arts experience. It is community-based and artist organized. There will be no jury, no curators. The show will thrive based on the enthusiasm and hard work of its participants! All art sales will be commission-free and handled by the artists."
