Mayor Ford requests smoking room? - According to TheMentalBlock, "When Mayor Jack Ford held his Christmas party at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Toledo [last month], he specifically requested a smoking room for the event. Ford recklessly endangered the lives of everybody at the party by exposing them to second-hand smoke, known by Ford to be a deadly carcinogen."
Also from TheMentalBlock ...
"The smoking ban is killing business at The Docks. Gumbo's owner, Tom Cousino, says he is losing $30,000 a week because of the ban."
"The In Zone went out of business as a direct result, says the owner, of the smoking ban."
"In fact, so many Toledoans are driving into Michigan these days that the Michigan Highway Patrol and sheriff's department are setting up special patrols between 2 and 3 a.m. to catch Toledoans driving back to Ohio after a night on the town. It seems everyone knows that Toledoans are patronizing businesses outside the city except the prohibitionists."
"The businesses known to have been killed by the ban now include Ragtime Rick's, The Inn Zone, Champ's, and the Rooster Inn. It is unknown how many employees have been fired -casualties of a law equivalent to a landmine in their lives. Many unknown others from still-operating businesses have also been laid off."
