TV 'hurts' kids - I feel a 'Duh' coming on. "Researchers have found that every hour preschoolers watch television each day boosts their chances -- by about 10 percent -- of developing attention deficit problems later in life. Statistics show ADHD affects up to 12 percent of children in the United States." There is also adult ADHD. Now what is this post about? Adults in America watch an average of four hours of TV per day. What's up with that? It's not just preschoolers' brains that are getting rewired. ADHD is over diagnosed anyway. "In the United States in 2001, pharmaceutical companies made more than $600 million in profits just on stimulant drugs used for attention deficit disorders."
