Are there any good places to see the fireworks or parades?
I went and saw the fireworks last year from the High Level Bridge. It was a great spot to see the fireworks!
An even better spot would be from a boat on the Maumee. Does anyone have a boat who would be willing to sponser a "Toledo Talk" 4th of July gathering, lol?

The problem, Lloyd, is that there are some who would want to toss others overboard, LOL

Hey, anyone do the Perrysburg/Maumee show?
We usually do the sylvania show @ centennial terrace, looking for something different this year. Any hints about the Pburg show? Parking, etc?
We'd hit the toledo show, but the whole "family friendly" thing turns me off.

tekrat - I think we'll go to either the Ft. Meigs or the Sylvania fireworks. We are having a cook out early and then fireworks. Almost the whole family'll be here.
You?

We enjoy Calvary's firefall, we've gone every year since our kids were in daycare there, I guess that was 5 years ago. It's nice, and if we want to change it up, while we're waiting we head over to South End Grille.

Calvary Christian is on Glendale at Reynolds, sharing a parking lot with South End Grille, Kroger, Lifestyles & Yes FM. They have been doing the fireworks since my kids were in daycare there, for 5 yrs. now and it's gotten bigger every year. The company that does these fireworks is the same co. that does the Maumee fireworks! THey are top notch. It was a long display, and fun for all of us! They had kiddie stuff (like jump castles, etc.) and tons of food (from pizza to fish fry or elephant ears and that kind of thing), and entertainment on stage. When they started the fireworks, the choir sang patriotic songs on stage choreographed to the display.
Keep your eyes peeled for it next year, they advertise it in the list of displays in the Blade.

Bruno: the Perrysburg/Maumee show. Go to Fort Meigs. Like anywhere, get there early and there is a church just a stone's throw away with pay parking.
