Did you get your Christmas card from the City yet? - Did you get your Christmas card from the city yet? If not, here is what you are missing.
For pictures of the card visit: http://toledopoliticians.com/citychristmascard
The picture on the outside of the card has a Toledo Pride Christmas ornament (on a plastic tree) and it says "A Holiday Greeting". The back has the Toledo Pride emblem on it.
Open it up, it says:
The best way to predict the future is to create it. - Peter Drucker
Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, City Council members, and the Proud Professionals of the City of Toledo wish you Happy Holidays and Peace in the New Year.
Return Address:
City of Toledo
One Government Center, Suite 2200
Toledo, OH 43604
Awe, that is so nice. (Note to myself I need to remember to pay taxes in Jan, huh, why am I worried about this right now?) Spread the joy to your friends. I did not even receive one from my Mom and Dad yet.
;)
Kate and I also wanted to take this opportunity to mention the changes at Toledo Politicians. The old Web site ran out of space-yes 1 GB fills up quickly and the bandwith was reaching the allowed amount. Well it is now being hosted on my server, which will provide much more breathing room-storage and "bandwithwise". What matters is now is the resources and meetings are much easier posted and now have categories and RSS feeds on particular categories. There is much more flexibility than ever before. It is also running on top of a CMS system, so it makes management a breeze.
Kate is also looking for people who want to become citizen reporters to go and record the meetings. As you know it takes a lot of time for one person to do this, and if we could have some more, it would be great. We can make your account special and you can post the minutes yourself now and file your own reports. Contact us on the http://www.toledopoliticians.com Web site if you are interested. If you want to publically or behind the scenes help let us know.
A sincere thank you to everyone who has helped in the past. It is only getting started.

Has anyone received a card from the City before? I never have, until this year. That is why I posted it, because I thought it was strange.
