* But what about that letter Voinovich signed demanding action?

...Before the letter was sent out, Voinovich was among the Republicans who voted to block the Warner resolution from coming to a vote....

....Yesterday, Voinovich said a vote is necessary to show the American people that their elected representatives are doing their jobs. And he backs the anti-surge resolution because it is time for the Iraqi government, not additional U.S. troops, to deal with growing sectarian violence in Iraq.

Voinovich has been a nonsupporter of Bush on many issues. His gutless vote is no surprise.

I'm surprised this thread made it through on TT.

What's the complaint here? Do you just not agree with his vote or is there something more substantive here?

Well let's see, Vonovich who has yet to find his soul on Iraq. Is he for a military surge or against it? He says he's against it, but votes to allow it. But alas the same song and dance man when it comes to all his political decisions from John Bolton, to Tom Noe. Vonovich always finds a way to not do what he says he's gonna do, and says what he's gonna do but dosen't. Indeed.

I call him RHINOvich. Always been worthless, if you're looking for a conservative.

Could it be that our Senator has joined the Kennedy/Kerry camp? I think it treasonous that congress does not support our military involvement in this conflict. I do agree that we should not commit more troops to this action and demand that Iraq assume much more responsibility in cleaning up their own mess. In addition, I do not agree with the recent agreement to allow Iraqi refugees into the U.S. I firmly believe that they are simply running away from the responsibility they have toward their own country and cannot contribute much to the United States except perhaps as an additional drain on the economy which we already have with the illegal aliens from South of the Border.

I believe that the United States should stop shedding American blood for a country, any country, that cannot or will not solve their own internal problems, and I do not support the immigration from any country engaged in a civil war until that problem is resolved and the country is once again stable.

I do not condone the withdrawal of our forces in Iraq without first ending what we started. We do not need another Viet Nam! We need to keep the Washington armchair generals out of this and let the decisions be made by the commanders in the field!

And while we're at it, exactly what does Marcy Kaptur hope to accomplish by going over to the "big Sandbox"? Seems to me, just another Congressional boondoggle! How many servicemembers will she actually talk to from Northwest Ohio? And how much is this week in the "Sandbox" costing the taxpayers?

For the record, I'm retired US military and I support the our forces in Iraq and elsewhere!

I think this statement is ridiculous, to call Congress treasonous because they reflect the MAJORITY or what Americans think of this war.
