Now he’s back in public office - and still controversial. Lucas County commissioners yesterday unanimously appointed former Mayor Carty Finkbeiner to the board of directors of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, but not before Commissioner Maggie Thurber complained of 'external pressures exerted on this board' to appoint him."
