Wasnt their a snowborder (female) from Toledo area that one a Gold medal this year? Maybe I misunderstood the newscast....

You're forgetting heavyweight Olympic boxer Devin Vargas (2004 Summer Games).

He now admits he tore a ligament in his knee during the Games...and has had two knee surgeries and now an elbow surgery. Looks a lot different now, the father of three young boys-- four, 14 months and a month. Yikes-- from international athlete to gimpy father of three.

There was an article (Blade I think) about the former Toledo Rocket, (his name escapes me) who recently graduated, had a good job, and quit to join the olympic bobsled team He's on USAIII. I think he was a wide reciever for the Rockets.

There was also Dave Wottle who won the gold at the 1972 Munic games in the 800m. He went to BGSU and was famous for running the race with his golf hat on and forgetting to take it off during the medal ceremony.
