Q. for jr: What happened to... - jr<
Can you tell me what happened to this post?
Taft Stands Up Like A REAL Man - Bob Taft stood up like a real man and took responsibilty for what he did. No lies. No bullshit. I for one am happy to know we have a REAL man who will stand up and take responsibility for his actions and not pussy-foot around the truth. THANK YOU REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR BOB TAFT!

I would also like to know what happened? A little liberal censorship?

It's here with a reason why.

You do understand why I moved it, right?
The Aug 17 topic: Taft faces 4 criminal misdemeanors! - Now that he's been charged, he can be impeached according to the state constitution.
A comment to the Aug 17 Taft topic: During the "Breaking News" Coverage, Taft's eyes were flickering. Know why? It's because he could barely control his laughter @ that jive-ass turkey of a judge rendering a judgment of NO jail time, a penny fine, and "an apology to the Ohio taxpayers".
The Aug 19 new Taft topic: Taft Stands Up Like A REAL Man - Bob Taft stood up like a real man and took responsibilty for what he did. No lies. No bullshit. I for one am happy to know we have a REAL man who will stand up and take responsibility for his actions and not pussy-foot around the truth. THANK YOU REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR BOB TAFT!
What was so differnt about the Aug 19 Taft topic from the Aug 17 Taft topic that warranted a new post to the front page?
No censorship. Just housecleaning.

Everyone satisfied so I can delete this topic too? Maybe I should leave this topic as a reminder about posting to the front page. I'm not discouraging front page posting. I simply want the info organized as easily as possibly allowed by this app. Two Taft topics two days apart about his court appearance or being charged makes it confusing to decide which one to comment in and which one to refer to at a later time.
Blogs or message boards, unlike wikis, don't allow for good organization of info. Catagories or tags in blogs don't provide the same kind of taxonomy available in a wiki app. They're designed differently. One isn't better than the other. Both are good and have their purpose. Wikis are good for updating and aggregating information, while blogs or message boards are good for discussing current events.
I've thought about adding a wiki area to this site, where logged-in users could add, edit, and update information about northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, I mean Lake Erie West. It would sort of be a mini Wikipedia or encyclopedia of just our area where the users are the content providers.
Some people may not be interested in discussing or debating issues on a message board, but they may be interested in sharing their knowledge about this area. In a wiki, no single user owns any of the content. It's sharable. If I started a wiki page on the history of the Swan Creek area in downtown Toledo, I would expect many others to edit the page and contribute info and correct mistakes.

The other option, jr, is something I have been doing a little of, and that is creating and editing entries on Wikipedia, as well as linking NWO items to other encyclopedia pages.
Here is one I recently edited:

Governor Taft's conviction:
As a Libertarian I don't have a dog in this political rag chewing. But, I can understand how some things can be overlooked by any individual holding an office of that size.
What any Governor of any state needs is sombody to look after "the small stuff" right down to the decimal. It appears that Ohio's Governor doesn't have anybody to keep track of every move that office holder has made.
There is an old saying: "C.Y.A.W.P."= (Cover Your Ass With Paper) and another, ( keep one hound with you, else the bear circles you).
However, this Noe investigation is far from over, and it's taking some very interesting turns. Taft allowed a bear to circle him, and it bit him where he sits......on his laurels! ((:

jr,
In the interests of neatness and to avoid confusion:
The topic should have been consolidated/moved.
But, the topic title only should have been left in place with a "topic closed here, because it has been consolidated/moved HERE" notation left as an example and a reminder.
That is my lowly opinion.
(You were doing the moving while I was trying to reply)
BTW, Moving it DID make sense ;-)
