Denny Schaffer's court troubles with the Blade - Reads like a soap opera. Denny is afternoon host on WSPD, AM 1370. What's fascinating about this story is a newspaper reporter sued someone for slander. That's funny. Isn't it usually the other way around? Newspapers are protected by law from revealing their sources. We've all seen the phrase "unnamed source" used in news stories. Even before the Jayson Blair incident at the NY Times, I think some believe that a few of these "sources" don't exist, and it's just a reporter dabbling in fiction. But since Denny is not a journalist, he has to cough up his source at the Blade with the story about John Robinson Block having a fling with the reporter. We need a media expert and a scriptwriter.
