Vocabulary word of the day - Kakistocracy - I saw this word on a sign in Ottawa Hills, and it was a stumper, so I hadda come home and look it up.

Kakistocracy - Government by the least qualified or most unprincipled citizens...

Now lets all use it in a sentence...

May 27, 2006 Blade article titled: "Court tells Ottawa Hills couple it's not art."

"A long legal battle with an Ottawa Hills landowner ended with an appellate court ruling that allowed the village to clear piles of dirt and stone, a toilet, and steel drums from the property. The court found the materials in the yard violated the village ordinance. "

"Village employees removed a toilet, three 55-gallon drums, and at least four wood posts. According to court records, the couple argued the posts were flag poles, and the toilet and steel drums were flower containers."

"[V]illage employees used a front-end loader and dump trucks to haul away piles of dirt and stone the [owners] claimed were "artistic sculptures." "

Owner Mrs. Afjeh said: "I am an American. In this country it takes generations to be accepted. I have been treated absolutely unfairly."

Fequalsma, only half of this couple is... odd. The husband is a pretty nice guy and normal. Unfortunately, since he's listed as one of the homeowners, he was dragged into this mess unwillingly. I hope, for his sake, the whole thing is truly over.

Really? Upon what do you base this?

As a side note, Google brought up www.kakistocracy.com (warning: I didn't click on it), which is appropriately titled:

"Life's tough... it's tougher if you're stupid."

Those are indeed words to heed and live by.

Whoa whoa motherfucking whoa. None of this accusing other posters of being limedrops stuff. You want an answer, you can ask jr to check IPs. Personally, I'd beg jr to stick a $ENV{REMOTE_ADDR} in after the poster's username. I bet that brightens things up around here damn quick.
