TPS Super Selection - Can anyone explain how a school board can hire someone and THEN negotiate their salary and benefits? This is the second time the Toledo board has done this. It is beyond me how they can do that or how the applicant can accept the job without having agreed to the compensation package.

Good catch Max :-)
Actually the resolution the board passed was to go into salary negotiations - the announcement was that out of the three finalists - this was the choice. And the next step is go into negotiations - and then if they both agree there will be a contract which the board would adopt.
At that time, he'd be officially hired.
Bears watching tho', don't it?!
