TPS approves co-pays - "Toledo Public Schools teachers and administrators approved two-year contract extensions that will add health-care co-payments or monthly premiums for an estimated $4.7 million in savings during the next year. Under the new agreement, administrators will receive no raises. Teachers will receive retroactive payments - 1.28 percent since February, 2003, and an additional 0.28 percent since August - as well as 1.48 percent raises if and when the board has the funds available. All the [health-care] plans have $50 co-payments for emergency room visits, $25 for urgent care, and $10 for physician office visits as well as cost-sharing for prescription drugs."
