What NON NEWS/ Non Sports magazines do you read? - Seems like every time I subscribe to a magazine, they just sit there, getting leafed thru once in a while, but really not read.
I have umpteen places to get my up to the minute news and sports, but what magazines do any of the rest of you enjoy for purely entertainment reasons?
Which ones do you really read??

Circuit Cellar, Discover, Sky and Telescope, CQ magazine, are the big ones. But I'll read pretty much any "science magazine"
Depends a lot on what you like or what hobbies you have. I love Books-A-Million in Levis commons, they have an entire wall dedicated to periodicals. Pick your hobby i'm sure they have at least 2-3 magazines for it.
Electronics, Science, Politics, Fashion, Crafts, Body Building, it's just amazing.
My fiance just picked up 3 different magazines dedicated to weddings there :)

Billy, They definatly have tons of magazines, many that you can't find anywhere else. Also a lot of specialty car magazines. (those are the one's i get (for hubby), but i have to admit, i DID but soldiers of fortune once. LOL, but, I usually get lost over in fiction 8-)
One other store i kindof like is Borders at FP. They have some good stuff there too. (movies, music, books, mags etc) What i like about that place is i can see if they have what i want online and reserve it to pick it up. (they will special order stuff and e-mail you when it comes in too)

..Borders at FP..
I use to be a big Borders fan. Then I bought their membership think it was $20-30 a year? To get the extra savings on the new books.
In retrospect, Books-A-Million is a better deal. Membership is only $10 and you get 40-50% off the cover on new release (I already have the new HP book on reserve and paid 50% off retail).
Meanwhile the same day I bought my membership to Borders they said I couldn't get the discount off of Eragon even though it was still on the top sellers list because it was a "childrens book". Just my view though. They do have a nice atmosphere and a good manga selection.

I cut my magazine consumption way back, but I still read Smithsonian, Esquire and Dwell

Coastal, Home, the Futurist (a magazine published by the Futurist Society) and, despite being a catalog and not a magazine - Jackson Perkins...
My non-news reading deals with decorating, gardening and trends...really an escape from everyday business...
Does anyone know of magazine exchanges where I can take my older ones and maybe pick up some others I don't subscribe to?

My only subscription is Film Comment. I get Parabola, Wax Poetics, Stop Smiling and occasionally Adbuster's from Leo's Book Store downtown. My dad saves me a copy of the New Yorker that he thinks I will like every so often.
