Polish Festival - Just wanted to post a comment on how wonderful of a time I had at the polish festival this past Friday night. Everyone working was so nice, and the crowd down there was really great. Lot's of older people in the polka tent, and wandering around the festival. Really made me realize why I love Toledo so much. Great event Toledo!

I'm sorry I missed it...that's my favorite festival of the year in Toledo. I always see a lot of good friends and old neighbors.

How was it in the evening? My husband and I stopped going awhile back b/c it seemed to be getting a little sketchy. Heard a couple stories from a police officer friend about crowd control and we decided no more late nights at the Polish festival.

Thought about taking the kids during the day this past weekend, but didn't get a chance.

The Greek festival tends to be my favorite (all the homemade treats...mmmm...). But being that my husband is Polish, I wouldn't mind taking the kids to the festival next year one afternoon.

I did see some younger people out there hanging around, but there didn't seem to be anything going on bad. I've been to the German American fest before, and felt out of place with all the kids getting drunk and being belligerent. I would say though, that the polish festival is pretty nice during the day - we went last year right after it opened on Saturday and had a great time. I expected Friday night this year to be all younger folks getting crazy, but it wasn't - I think I counted more older retirees than anything, which was neat to see.
