What is your favorite Easter candy? - Easter is coming, and I want to talk about something important. I want to know just what is your favorite Easter Candy? I'm one of those people that likes the Marshmallow Peeps! I like red jelly beans also. I also like the day after Easter, when the candy goes on sale for half off list price. How many people know that Easter is the second biggest candy day after Halloween? Well, that's all for my important topic.

Black Jelly Beans are Discusting! Oh my!

Cadberry Creame Eggs rock! The carmel ones aren't too bad either. A couple of years ago, I bought like 20 Cadberry Eggs on sale after Easter. It was a good couple of weeks.

Those little coconut/chocolate nest things. I have eaten about 30 or 40 since they went on the shelves.

the old fashioned large red or white jellybeans...solid chocolate bunnies...

The Easter Bunny always brought a basket, but my mom always had a solid fudge egg with our name - in script frosting - on it sitting at our place at the table. Mine always had walnuts in it. Can't find those anymore...very sad!

I love red and black jelly beans. Hate peeps. Cadbury eggs are too much, too sweet for me. I also love the coconut eggs. Anything with caramel.

PEEPS! But only after they've set open for a while & get a little chewey. :D Also like those nests and soft caramel eggs. Never cared for a lot of coconut all that much, once in a while is ok. Milky way eggs are tasty, and the Snickers ones.

At our office, Peeps are used for one thing and one thing only... Throwing at one another. Nothing like being in an intense conference call at your desk and getting "Peeped".

Chocolate bunnies are my favorite Easter candy, and this is my favorite cartoon in re them:

Here's a fun game with Peeps, called Peep Jousting:

Put two Peeps in a microwave with wooden toothpicks sticking about 1 inch out from each other. Hit the 30-second button. As the Peeps expand, they appear to move closer to each other. One will hit the other's toothpick and deflate.

See http://www.punkasspunk.com/peeps/joust/index.html for more details.

I showed this trick to my nephews last year, and their mom has not forgiven me, so I should add the disclaimer that if you burn down your neighborhood or lose an eye doing this, you can probably sue the manufacturer of Peeps:

Fuselighter,

I am going to have to try that this weekend, after my hoo-raa with deep fried twinkies a couple of weeks ago.

The Peeps swell up to softball size. I do not recommend eating them post-microwaving.

I like those jelly belly jelly beans, but ya gotta watch em - they came out with some totally gross flavors. I popped a yellow one in my mouth expecting lemon, and got popcorn! Salty and nasty.

My mother said they really truly came out with one in 'vomit' flavor, but I dont know about that - but then again, it WAS my MOM who told me!!

Fuselighter - everyone at our house will LOVE that!!! I see many cleanup problems, however...oh well, when children play (and by children I don't just mean those of a certain age)...

Madjack - they still make circus peanuts???? I haven't seen those in ages!

Vomit and Earwax jelly bean flavors are from the Harry Potter movies...yuck!

Madjack - they still make circus peanuts????
They sell Circus Peanuts in those generic (red label) bags on Hardware Store candy racks. I buy them at Gladieux Do it Best Home Center on Navarre Ave, in Oregon. Gas stations sell them the same way. I'll buy a bag of them every now and then. Some candy companies use these candy re-sellers as an additional sales outlet. It's actually a good idea. To take any number of different candies, some name- brand, some not, and label them under one label, and sell them all on one convenient rack. Usually next to the cash register. For impulse buyers!

As far as the far out flavors, I have no interest in trying them. My curiosity does have it's limits! I ate some jelly beans last night. The regular flavors. There were three kinds left, after I was done. There was white, black, and pink. I don't like any of those three. I'm not even sure what flavor the pink and white actually were. I had them in a bowl, and had thrown away the bag.
