HELP EDGEWATER ELEMENTARY! - One of our ways of making a little extra money for the students is by selling Marketday each month. I was suprised at the quality of the product after the first time I ordered and each month, my order gets larger and larger. I am now purchasing very tasty yet simple items that feeds my big family of six for less than what I pay at Kroger.
We are trying really hard to win a freezer this month for the school. We are so close to reaching this goal but we only have until Tuesday to put in all orders and I dont think we will reach it by then. This is why I am asking all of you to take a look at their web site and if you like what you see, please place an order with them.
One thing though, make sure you select EDGEWATER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and you must pick up your order at the school on the designated day but the good thing is - YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY UNTIL YOU PICK UP!!!!!!!!!!!
So please, take a look, place an order, you wont be dissapointed. This company is the same as Sara Lee. Great food. Good prices.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

My kids' school in Bedford also has the MarketDay fundraising program. Overall, it's a good program. My wife surely enjoys it (and the rest of us, too. Good food.)
Won't help with your sale, but for those thinking about it, MarketDay does have a good selection at decent prices.

Interesting idea for fundraising. Too bad you have to sign up for the site just to check out the prices.

I order from Market Day also. The prices are competative and the food quality is really pretty good. Most of it is either frozen stuff or dry goods and much of it is in bulk.
I hope that you can get that freezer. Good luck.

Thank you all, for your order and your kind words of encouragement.
We are really close to getting our freezer and I know to some, it might sound a little silly to want this, but it is so important to our school. As the President of the PTO, I know just how difficult it is to make a specific budget and stick with it and our funds become less and less each year. We host so many wonderful family activities each school year that include food items. Our cost increases greatly by having to purchase these items on the day of each event as opposed to purchasing bulk items and storing them in the freezer.
We are such a small school, a little over 240 students and we really need the support of outside elements with things like this.
We really appreciate your support. Thank you all so much! And thanks to the ones who support their own children/grandchildren/neices and nephews! You are the backbones of our great schools!

Wow! What a great site and it helps our schools, too! My order is in - now I can't wait till the 10th to pick it up.
Thanks Kris!

At least it's not Girl Scout Cookies. $10 for a box I can eat during the commercial of a college football game. Plus they're more addicting than crack.
I refuse to buy any more cookies from girl scouts unless their single mom's give me a lapdance.

Kris..our school "won" a freezer at the end of last year. It is nice to stock it and have everything ready to go and not worry about shopping the day of an event.
Good Luck to your school.

Wow, great site! So much nicer of a fund raiser than stupid candles and overpriced candy. I put in an order as well. How long is this fund raiser going to last?

OMG - you are all so wonderful, you have no idea just how much we appreciate this. We actually do this every month, but we dont push it like this. This month is a big exception for us because we really need that freezer.
We honestly do not make much money from this each month but as far as I am concerned, some money is better than none for our kids.
AS OF TONIGHT, WE ARE ONLY $64.00 FROM REACHING OUR GOAL. YEAH!!!!!!! I hope we do it. We have until Tuesday night. PLEASE< PLEASE, PLEASE anyone who hasnt placed an order, do so, just two more people putting in decent sized order would make us hit our goal! I wish I could buy more but I already ordered way over my budget this month........
Thanks for all the support and from the other parents who have left kind words for me. We have to all stick together, it is for the kids after all and as far as I am concerned, my kids are your kids and you know the saying "It takes a village"..........
Thanks again,
Kris

Hi KrisP,
I placed 2 more orders for family members this morning for a little over $70.00. My son goes to Edgewater. Thanks for everything you do.

kris - let me know if you need more sales after kaci's purchase. This is a neat way to make money for the school - buy a lot of this stuff anyway, may as well buy it and help.
ONLY $4.00 a box for girlscout cookies? Wouldnt be so bad, except the girlscouts get very little of that money (I heard a quarter a box). That said, I always end up buying a good 10 boxes or so.

Wow, thanks everyone! We reached our goal, we actually went over by $600!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much to all of you.
Please remember that we do this every month, this is not just a one time thing. Of course, I do not usually order as much as I did this time, but I love the product and it is easy and quick to make.
Again, thanks to all!
(Kaci - who is your child?)
(starling02) Check again after tomorrow, we could always use the orders for next month! Just go to the web site and put in edgewater!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ORDERED!!

question to krisP - Although I live in the Shoreland area, I have no idea where Edgewater school IS. And once I get there to pick up my order, where exactly do I GO at Edgewater School to do that? Thanks.
posted by starling02 at 03:14 P.M. EST on Thu Oct 05, 2006 #
Starling - From Shoreland and Summit, go south on Summit to 131st. Turn left on 131 and follow it to the end. Turn to the left and you will be on Edgewater. The school is almost immediately on your left after you make that turn. You won't miss it.
As for WHERE in the school? I would think they will have some sort of sign out, or at least someone you could ask. The school is small, so it shouldn't be difficult.

As soon as you turn into the parking lot, you will see the gym doors open on your right side. That is where you will come in to pick up your order. I will be there that day, please introduce yourself to me, I want to thank you personally. I am the tall, red haired, sharp dressed woman (joking)! Just ask for Kris, I will be there! Thanks again!
