Pastor Michael Pitts - I haven't seen any comments or Pastor Michael Pitts of Cornerstone Church, and his fairly recent stop for DUI, and his attempts to get the charges throw out of court. I am personally pleased to know that there is a church that supports individuals in not taking personal responsibility for their actions.

Rent a Church? - I believe the Lord has called me to start a church. I would like to rent a building or meeting space in the area but I have a limited budget. So, I've been trying places like community centers and local organizations. My current need is only for one morning a week. As the church body and space and time requirements grow, I would be more then willing to increase my monthly rent. - More>>

Last Supper Paintings - I just watched The Da Vinci Code, so I'm going through my stage of fascination with the last supper painting. The movie focuses on Leonardo Da Vinci's painting of the last supper but doesn't say anything about other paintings of the event. So I looked at them for myself and what I found was kind of neat. I found that the figure next to Jesus always looks like a woman. The person usually has his/her head in Jesus' lap or burried in his chest. In some of the paintings they appear to be holding hands. In one painting they are sitting together as a couple (William Blake 1799). I just think it's neat that you can look at paintings of the last supper that are about 150 years before Da Vinci's and the person sitting next to Jesus looks like a woman in them as well.

Where is the Muslim Outrage? - This is a clip of a radio program. I have never heard of the person, but he makes some good points about Muslims not being outraged when people are killed, but then they are upset to the point of rioting in the streets (people were killed in the riots) when a cartoon makes fun of Muhammad.

Toledo Public Schools - Toledo ? Schools
"As you congregate on Sunday, I would ask you to say a special prayer for Toledo Public Schools students as they enter the testing period next week," Mr. Sanders said. I thought the ? stood for PUBLIC but it would appear Dr. Sanders wants it to stand for something else! So MY ever burning question remains, do all TPS Students ONLY pray on Sundays. Go DR. Sanders to Cleveland or anywhere that will take you. Good-bye, so long, don't let the door hit you in your ass. This has to STOP, Dr. Sanders, you have no Business making this and other comments like you did in the Blade Article. I'm glad my school tax money goes to WLS and not TPS.

Women Killed at Church in Detroit - A woman was shot and killed in the balcony of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit during a worship service Sunday. Kevin L. Collins, 22, of Detroit walked into the 11 a.m. service at Van Dyke and Willard, looking for his girlfriend, police said. Instead, he saw her mother, Rosa Williams, 38. He sat beside her, witnesses said, and demanded to know her daughter's whereabouts. Williams refused to tell him, and then left. He returned to the balcony with a shotgun and shot Williams, police said.

Bob Larson Ministries - Sorry if this is a double type post on the same subject, it wouldn't let me add my thoughts to it, after I copied and pasted off the Bob Larson Ministries web page. Yikes. I am not religious, but that is hardly relevant here. When I read this article in The Blade today, my first thought was "There's one born every minute", and my second thought was "How much money do they get out of these people?" My third thought, was "Oh, I am a cynic, it is RELIGION, and I'm sure it's free to be exorcised from your demons". So I went to the website, and gosh. Some of these seminars are "free", but beware, there's all kinds of videos, dvds, cassettes, newsletters, clubs they will hit you up to buy, so NOT free. And you just know, that many who attend these seminars, will be so caught up ... - More>>

Islamic Center of Toledo needs new Public Relations Rep - Actually, if the violence and tyranny that we've seen in the last 4 decades from people that call themselves Muslims is not representative of "real" Muslims as we are constantly told (by non-Muslim western media personalities) - then all of Islam needs a new public relations rep because we never hear anything from the "real" Muslims. - More>>
