Indie film featuring Toledo native - Katie Holmes plays the 'rebel in pigtails' in the Thanksgiving family comedy Pieces of April, now playing at Franklin Mall 6. It's rated PG-13, 81 minutes long, and directed by Peter Hedges. The film was shot digitally in two weeks with a budget of $300,000. "Pieces of April premiered at Sundance, receiving a standing ovation and later scoring a distribution deal with United Artists." Critics and movie goers are rating the film a B to B+.
