Ohio Troopers Coalition - Anybody out there being pestered by the Ohio Troopers Coalition seeking a monetary contribution? I'm geting skeptical as to whether they are a ligitimate organization.

Double talk at the Pharm? - Above each checkout register at the Pharm is a sign that denotes the line number plus the phrase "EVERYTHING DEEP DISCOUNTED". Yet, the price of everything they sell has risen 10% over the last six months.

Refresh my memory - On the SW corner of Huron and Madison is an office building that was once called the Security Building. Can somebody give me the current name?

Rental cars - A rather ludicrous TV commercial for AVIS RENT A CAR shows a man with black hair, wearing a white shirt, acting like he's driving a car that's equipped with GPS tracking. The background scenery is whizzing by like the guy is tooling down the road about 60 mph (probably a movie screen). That's not so bad but...take notice of the steering column. There is no key in the ignition switch. LOL!

Eyesore - On commercial property listed for sale at the s.w. corner of W. Bancroft & N. Holland-Sylvania Rd. there is about two tons of broken concrete that somebody dumped in that field a few years ago. Some pieces must weigh over 300 lbs. Who is responsible for its removal? Crap like this gives our city a bad image.

New sub shop - I'm impressed with PENN STATION sub shop on Holland-Sylvania Rd & Airport Hwy. It has a big selection of subs which are made on a fresh bun that gets grilled for that slightly crunchy texture. They should consider putting a shop in downtown Toledo.

Narrowest street in Toledo? - Could Helen Drive be the narrowest street in town? Its width is 8.5 feet. Where is it? Go west on Hill Ave., turn left on Lancaster Ave. (last street before the US23 overpass).
