Fractured Party Seems Familiar

Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Hannity all agree... Romney should be the man. More over, a vote for Huckabee or Paul is a vote for McCain. The sight is so familiar to the Democratic party a few years ago. I remember the push to condemn those who were casting their votes for Nader because casting a vote for Nader was casting a vote for Bush.
The Repubs are done in this election if they don't stray away from their current ways. This will be a repeat of Bush/Gore, but with the Dems coming out on top... and my taxes skyrocketing to cover every social whim of the Dem party.

You may as well face two things. With a VERY few exceptions, BOTH major parties have offered the weakest group of candidates in years. The halfway decent ones like Edwards, Thonpson, Hunter, Biden, on both sides were totally ignored by the media until they had to drop out, leaving us with the crapfest we have now. The media and a few little insignificant states have once again made the decision for you. It will be McPain vs. The Klintons.

I'm actually feeling Reagan's sentiment of "I didn't leave the party...". The only real conservative I see in the race is Paul, and he's been ignored. I feel like both parties are converging towards a central unit that does nothing to remove the greed and mismanagement of our current political system.
With Reps going for Paul, Huckabee and Romney, I can see the unelectable Clinton making it to the white palace. Oh, what a shame it will be.

Maybe it would finally wake people up and get more conservatives (not Rhinos) in congress, as they (Clintoons) did in 94.

Remember, there is another element. I think the Democrats will win, but there is probably an Islamic sniper team waiting for that. How will the country react when a Democratic President gets gunned down? It will probably be handled as a police matter. One .30-06 can change the whole political make-up in a second.

I just wonder what Paul would have done if he was stronger on security. I think there is a stong thirst for basic liberty but no one is tapping it. Thompson had all the philosophical pieces, but no execution. Paul has execution but not all the philosophical pieces.

And all the other Republican's are big government. The only reason they aren't liberal is because they are pro business as opposed to anti business. No one, on either side, is pro liberty.

Why all the talk about socialized security?

Most countries have privatized security and do just fine. It's also more effective and cost-effective.

If airline companies had had a few lightly armed security guards on each flight, one can speculate none of these wars would have happened. It's unfortunate because thousands if not millions of lives have been lost because corporations don't care about their customers security. I'm thinking it would run an extra $80 a flight hour to staff 2 guards on each flight. At most that would add a few dollars to domestic flights.

Trains, boats, and just about any gathering of over 50 people have security. Airlines don't. That seems negligent.
