NYT bombs McCain on ethics, relationship to female lobbyist

Oh innuendo and a man struggling to appear ethical in a town known for it's exemplary behavior.

Paul contends his case will expose "the institutional culture of corruption embraced by the Clinton leadership of the Democratic Party," which seeks to attain "unaccountable power for the Clintons at the expense of the rule of law and respect for the constitutional processes of government."

The phrases "rule of law" and "new world order", like so many of the neocon blabberings sound exactly like Hitler's prpaganda machine rhetoric. This country is really in a lot of trouble. I just hope that Huckabee and Paul and McDonalds,, err McCain , can find a way to speak to the millions of people whose social security they want going to cut to ZERO.
McCain doesn't bow to the earthly representatives of Jesus quite enough, so his only path is to attack the poor for the sake of the rich. But all the republicans seem to love doing that. So amazing that the neocons miss the fact that virtually all our nationals debt came from these neocons, whose main goal is to destroy the constitution. Only the rich should have rights. Its evident in their attempt to steal Lake Erie and River waterfront rights from everyone in the country. The legal extension of this is that corporation and homeowners will own the waterways, all of them. And they are set to take the water and sell it. Can you imagine how happy Haliburton and friends would be to make the pipeline!

I am not a McCain supporter, but the article is an exercise in saying nothing while sounding like an exposé.

NYT: We're not saying he slept with the woman, but only that they were rather close. And we're not saying McCain did anything unethical, just that his staffers wrote a couple of letters and he chatted with some other politicians on a matter related to this lobbyist. And we don't really have any proof of wrongdoing, just an ex-staffer who said the campain was worried about the appearance of impropriety.

IMHO - the reason they sat on this for so many weeks was that it was un-newsworthy, not that it was a bombshell. They used Drudge and MSNBC to hype this non-story, and we all look like suckers for reading it and linking to it.

Despite my obvious socialist tendencies...LOL... McCain has been setting himself up as a straight shooter who will take on the lobbyists and corruption by lobbying on behalf of lobbyists and mitigating the appearance of impropriety.

Think of a Marxist government with Carty in charge. He can add more to the additional trash tax, really move deaf people to the airport. All the while selling properties and condos for a profit at the taxpayers expense. Oh yeah and tax anything till it leaves Toledo. Take charge of all ambulances and then give piss poor service to only the select locations.
