Notice he didn't say "I'm going to sue Al Gore?" Maybe because he has at least enough sense to know that such a lawsuit would be completely baseless. If he isn't willing to put up his own money, I dismiss his rantings as nothing more than hot air (pun intended).

Did you also dismiss the rantings of Heidi Cullen for the same reason?

rantings of Heidi Cullen

??

Because she said the American Meteorological Society should not give its “seal of approval” to any meteorologist who “can’t speak to the fundamental science of climate change.”?

That's like saying the AMA shouldn't give it's "seal of approval" to doctors who don't know how medicine works.

One opinion is that Gore's side should be sued, the other opinion says the other side should be de-certified.

“[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

I wouldn't mind this happening. It would certainly shed some light on the issue no matter your ideological bias/handicap.

I also wouldn't mind a few class action lawsuits right now against things that are possibly legitimately harming people: MSG, aspartame, fluoride, mercury, bromine, etc.

Al Gore is an oil guy with a guilty conscience... http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=468

I feel like [a lawsuit] could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.

This is what I heard him say this morning on an interview and it is the key point. I would love to see the issues layed out in the context of testimony under oath and evidence. A situation where two parties are disputing liability where the outcome has real consequences.

I think skin in the game makes people honest.

Imagine that Al Gore, did you know that his family oil company got a hug amount of the national oil reserve while he was in office, took bush 2 years to refill it. Look up the National oil reserve. its a hole in the ground where they store oil for goverment use, mostly for the navy. Gore got all that oil on the cheap from the reserve, imagine, never heard that in any news story.

Any comments coming from the founder of the Weather Channel really doesn't matter much. I mean, when is the last time anyone turns to them for weather? All they seem to have is gardening, home improvement, and healthy living segments. They do have their occassional weather specials/series every night that always seem to keep going when hundreds of thousands of people are under the gun in a severe weather outbreak.

I watch "weather on the 8's" a couple times per day.
