Rich Dad Academy

I was given a ticket to the Rich Dad Poor Dad training academy this weekend (Friday to Sunday). Regularly $500. 3 days of real estate seminar. Some people think it's a good intro class to real estate...other's think the whole system is a scam (as even at that event they try and get you to sign up for more classes). Either way, if anyone wants to go, let me know. It's free on me. I have never gone, have no affiliation with the academy, and don't know what you will expect. Just giving away my ticket.

As I understand it, it's better to own stuff to make money than to work to make money.

Very likely that there will be a VERY strong push to get attendees to purchase high-priced "real estate coaching" conference calls, bootcamps and study-at-home courses (dvd's and cd's).

At some point, they may even say that they only want to sign-up 20 people in the room, for this or that particular seminar or coaching product. There could be 300 people in the room.

"Only the first 20 people to the back of the room, will be granted the exclusive right to participate in our program."

People don't even think things thru or read the contract. I've seen people in similar seminars, race to the back of the room and whip out a credit card, so they wouldn't miss-out on the "incredible opportunity."

It's still fun to go to some of these seminars, even if it's just to get the free cd's and watch the sales presentations.

I passed 2 signs going down Woodville and Navarre today, once I got off the High Level Bridge.

The first sign said $10000 for a house. The 2nd sign said $9000.

And you know what? They're still bad deals since the prices will continue to drop, and you're hardly going to be able to rent them out and keep them maintained in the coming Depression. Now, if living there is your poison, then knock yourself out. Personally, I could buy both of those houses with just the CDs I'm cashing out of soon, but I have ZERO desire to come home to find my fucking door kicked in and my tools stolen ... OFTEN. No thanks; I'll continue to rent my lodging south of the Zoo where its still safe but wholly unaffordable to buy.

These real-estate con artists are going to continue to rob Toleodans BLIND until we wake up and stop denying that we're going to be in the midst of a wholesale economic collapse.

Still, it's difficult to nearly impossible to save the stupid fuckers once they get dollar signs glazing over their eyes. Fuck 'em.

3 F-bombs in one post. Perhaps you should cash out your CDs and buy a dictionary and pick some new words ;-)

Taxiang, you've demonstrated you can count. For more pertinent mathematics, what's the LTV on your mortgage?
