Does anyone know anything about a story I heard that the cops, dog catcher, etc. going after bulldogs, grabbing them up, and them billing citizens the cost of neutering them? It seems that the police are busy enough catching criminals to still have time to chase dogs, only to have to look between the dogs legs and lift the tails before making any arrests. YUCK!! You know, the dog catcher office might be on to something here.
They could teach the police this tactic. Any time the police see a person, who in their judgment might have violent tendencies, they could get out a pair of scissors and remove the perps "tendencies". Better still, why not get the people who brutalize dogs to make them vicious, and cut THEIR balls off?
Since I haven't read the exact details anywhere, have any of you folks any information on this?

I doubt it is bulldogs, but I will believe that it is american bulldogs, which are closely related to pitbulls and often pitbulls are registered as "american bulldogs" to avoid the additional requirements of pitbulls.
I personally believe that they should do away with "breed specific" laws and enforce a weight rule. Any dog over 25-30 pounds should be muzzled in public. Then there wouldn't be any confusion over pitbull/american bulldog/boxer, whatever. A dog 25 pounds or bigger has the potential to do much damage and no one can guarantee what a dog is thinking or what it will do.
