I agree. This is lame, but for different reasons. Carty and almost all of the elected officials in Toledo suck.
However, I might be pressed to buy a "Ben Konop sucks donkey balls" shirt if one ever came to print.

Maybe Carty is selling the shirts and pocketing the money.
Many years ago, a cocky football player named Brian Bosworth had the nickname "The Boz." Opposing fans in college and in the NFL detested him. Bosworth took advantage of that. He made t-shirts that he sold in the opposing teams' cities. The t-shirt had the letters "No Bozo" within a red circle with a red line through the circle. The shirt may have also had a clown face within the circle. Anyway, opposing fans bought the shirts and wore them to games when Bosworth's team came to town. That lasted until opposing fans discovered Bosworth made the shirts.
I thought this thread meant Carty sucked t-shirts. Kinda like Jerry Tarkanian sucked on towels. Imagine my surprise
Good recall, jr. I remember reading Bosworth's book when I was really young. Interesting guy.
Bosworth? Are you sure he was that smart/petty? I know there's a stereotype that inject-a-jocks move shitty apparel, but this seems to good to be true.
Well, a Google search on no bozo bosworth t-shirts resulted in this message board comment from Wednesday :
They were "No Bozos" t-shirts with Bosworth caricatured as the famous clown. He'd spent the previous week bad mouthing Elway, and continued on in the game calling him Mr. Ed (the bucked tooth talking horse from the show 20 years before). It came out later in the week that Boz had a company make the shirts and he sold them though surrogates to Broncos fans at the game. There is still a No Bozos bumper sticker on a panel truck in my neighborhood.
Another comment on another message board from earlier this month :
When the Seahawks played in Denver in Boz's rookie year, it seemed like half the stadium was wearing "No BOZos" tshirts, with Boz's face and a red circle and slash through it...and the tshirts were made by: Brian Bosworth. He made money off of every one of those haters.This is one marketing degree that was put to use!

I remember watching Boz gobble up running backs when he played at Oklahoma, and that was over twenty years ago. He had a lot of hype when he came out of college, but he was a bust in the NFL, playing only two or three seasons with Seattle.
In his NFL career, Boz is probably most remembered for getting steamrolled by Bo on a Monday Night Football game. That's Bo Jackson the baseball player who played a little NFL on the side.
Boz was a roid freak. When he stopped taking steroids, I think Boz shrank to the size of the typical winning runner of a major marathon event.
Meh, kinda lame. Someone making money off of someone elses suckage and not changing a darn thing about it.
