Oil interests are in charge of much of congress, and the white house of course. Basing our economy and security on oil is folly, but each year the spooks do a secret report on our ability to secure oil, and so with all these things in place we fight oil wars. Oil is certainly a part of the military industrial complex. Ike saw the danger in 1961, most republicans can't see it even today.

Todays republican party is not the same party that Ike belonged too. If you still want that party, you must vote ron paul.

Yeah, Ike would be considered a liberal moonbat today. People today blindly embrace the military-industrial complex (which now includes the media), in the name of "national defense".
