Tree Maintenence

Has anyone had any experience trying to get the city to trim a tree? I have a massively overgrown buckeye tree in front of my house. It's between the sidewalk and curb which means its their responsibility. After a phone call to the Forestry division, I was told someone would come out to inspect it within 2 weeks. Well its been a month now and nothing has happened. Just seeing if anyone has any tips to get these bastards out here.

Tell them you warned them about the tree and if it falls on your house during the next storm, wind or bird landing on it, your expecting them to fix the damages. That should get them out there.

Good luck. I called about a half dead tree in May 2007, they finally inspected it in July 2007 and marked it for removal. Over a year later it's still there, the normal growth is completely dead now, and there are tons of suckers at the base. It looks absolutely horrible. I called again in May of this year and was told that some people are waiting 3 years or more for trees to be removed. Maybe the better parts of town get faster service.

I think you can paint a tunnel on the tree and the Roadrunner will trick you into running into it. The tree might fall.
