Here it comes folks, the possibility of more US attacks looking for Bin Laden. Just in time for this year's election. If the US gets him while Bush is still in office it's a great coup for the Repub's. The question is why now? Why havn't we been looking harder for Bin Laden for the last 7 years?

How many times has he died?
He's in poor health and he hides in caves. Caves must have really good health care.
What I worry about is a November or December surprise. Terrorists wait for a new President and Vice-President to be elected. The word then goes out to the 200 or so sniper teams infiltrated in the last couple of years to kill both the Prez and VP. If they succeed we have a real opportunity to see if our system of succession will work. The duties of the President would fall the Speaker of the House, correct? We then have to see how long he or she lasts. That's one reason I don't care about whoever gets elected. I don't put much faith in a person, but rather the institution(s), and I hope they work in these dangerous times.

Ban Laden or not, the Republicans are dead in the water. That party isn't going to be revitalized until Dems get the presidency and screw things up just as bad. Then we'll play this whole two party game all over again.
Did you guys read the report issued July 2007 by Major Coughlin of the Pentagon? In the first couple pages he says our top military guys don't understand the radical ideology of our enemy. I don't understand why it takes the Pres. et al so long to get up to speed, unless they know something we don't. This report seems excellent to me and it totally changed my thinking from being that of "Bush is an awful idiot!" to something like "Bush--while not great by any means--is not quite as bad as I thought"
I personally would love for us to get OBL, stick him in a pillory and allow a month or so for every American who wishes to throw tomatoes, eggs at him. Anybody like to do that???
Coughlin says that IF we understand the military strategy as laid out specifically in their texts, there is NO DOUBT that we will be okay. Problem is so many don't understand. For instance, lots think the people here think differently than the ones overseas. I have known a doz. or so and in my experience that is not the case. I will work with them to discuss but they never seem to want to discuss with me. Badmouthing the US is something I'm getting really tired of. I just want to feel proud of the USA, many out in the world love us despite all the bad propaganda.

Maybe if he comes out the house he hiding in in Pakastan we can nail him. I dont really cares under whos administration it is that we catch him as long as hes caught. Too bad Pakistan wont let us go in and find him and his cronies.
