Our oceans carry less than a tenth the number of fish they once held, yet few of us have any sense that something is wrong.

I'm doing my part, I eat beef. No fish, no low tide crap either.

There was an article in a recent Smithsonian magazine about this very subject. Photos of catches from charter boats in Key West in the 50's showed huge catches of giant grouper (6 ft. long!) and shark. The 80's had the occasional grouper but mostly snapper. The photos from now are all of little tiny jack.

Conventional beef is just as bad or worse. It's loaded with chemicals, hormones, and fed corn which makes the animal ripe with disease.

Fish is supposedly loaded with mercury even if it's farm raised.
