This is a particularly insightful work by this artist. "Apartment" exposes the true impact of human consumption on our environment, surroundings and by extension; ourselves. Modern society is geared in a way to shield us from the reality of our own filthy behavior; this piece immerses us in it. Let's start bidding at £200,000.

I saw an Oprah episode about compulsive hoarding and the lady's house was pristine from the outside, but on the inside ... wow.

I've met a few people who were like that. Not this bad, but it seems really depressing. Even when you go to garage sales or in stores like Target or the mall....most the stuff is just pure crap.
Note: Corky's Wikipedia link lists Steketee, G as co-author of many works on this subject. She (Gail) is a friend of mine and formally of Toledo/Sylvania. Her father Jack Steketee partnered with Al Samborn, to form Samborn, Steketee, Otis and Evans, later to be shortened to Toledo's SSOE.
Looks like the garbage strike lasted a little longer than was expected.
