Ed Emery...urban legend

BOWLING GREEN - A Sylvania man who has made numerous unsuccessful bids for public office is awaiting trial on charges he and another man stole scrap metal from two local businesses.

Ed Emery, 61, and David Post, 40, who both list their address as 6069 Huntington Rd., each are charged with theft, possessing criminal tools, and two counts of criminal trespass - all misdemeanors - in Bowling Green Municipal Court.

Records show that the pair was arrested about 9:15 p.m. Aug. 14 by Bowling Green police responding to a report of someone stealing scrap from Tin Man Heating and Cooling on Bellard Drive. An employee who was checking the premises told police he saw two men in the scrap container, but when he pulled into the business, they reportedly jumped out, got in a truck, and drove out over a curb and through the grass.

The employee followed the men, whose vehicle was later stopped by state troopers on State Rt. 25 just north of Dowling Road.

According to Bowling Green police, Mr. Emery told officers they had permission to take scrap from Gearhart Plumbing Heating & Cooling on Newton Road but denied being in the dumpster at Tin Man. Police found a cordless drill and a cordless reciprocating saw in the men's truck along with various scrap items, the report stated.

That guy is psychotic.

And the fact that some die hard Republicans actually voted for him when he ran shows their instability. No wonder Palin has supporters. Scary.

Chill out ryan - there are idiots out there who just cast votes for a joke. Opal Covey got votes for mayor too.

You really need to reel in the hate.

Oh okay, I will chill and reel.

ryan, will this be the first or second presidential election youve been old enought to participate in?

Oh snapz.

Sorry if Ed is your brother or something, but he IS mentally unstable. It happens to a lot of people and I am sympathetic, but do not believe people should vote for them as an elected official.

(I would have wrote this in crayon if I could have)

By the way, I feel the same way about Carty, and I do belive he carried a local party's endorsement this past election, and a LOT of people voted for him. Mostly democrats, I think, but dont quote me...

Carty has issues for sure, but I don’t think he is insane……..yet.

And I am glad somebody besides Fred finds Fred amusing, he is such a hedge hog.

Ed Emery is symbolic of the Republican party. On one hand he preaches integrity, honesty, rule of law, etc, but when no one is looking he is grabbing as much as he can and to hell with everyone else. Sorry, but to me this is what the Republican party has meant for the past 28 years. It is the Republican party that has train wrecked our country politically, internationally, morally, socially, and now economically. Great job.

then YOU are insane.

Google NPD disorder.

BTW, Im assuming you're avoiding my question because Im right.

I don’t have to Google NPD, most my friends have it, lol.

Actually I didn’t remember a question until now I reread after you said that. What does it matter? If this is my first election I guess that means I am stupid and naïve? So should we raise the age to 30? Or better yet make everyone take a test to see if they are capable of voting the way you approve of? I don’t understand the reason for the question.

But no, it is not my first or second time voting if that makes any difference.

Is this the NPD, you're talking about?

Hey, it's Udo with David Duke.
