I'll make suggestions at times, so people can learn. This is no biggie, and I realize a learning curve will exist here, and I still foul up at times.
For an article titled Walbridge Park, it would have been better to not have created it in the personal workspace area by clicking on the 'post' link in the navigation bar.
The preferred method for creating an article of the type Walbridge Park would be to navigate to the Toledo parks page by clicking on the following:
Lewiki Home -> Lucas -> Toledo -> Parks and Wildlife Areas
and then edit the Parks page, and add the wiki link by surrounding the Walbridge Park text with double brackets. Save the parks page, click on the red link for Walbridge Park and add the content and save it.
By starting with Lewiki Home and navigating down, the Walbridge Park page could be edited by anyone. Personal workspace pages can only be edited by the owner of the article.
The owner of the personal workspace page can set edit=yes and then anyone can edit that page. But if a new wiki link is created in this personal workspace page, it will still inherit the privs of the personal workspace owner, meaning no one else will be able to edit thid newly created page except for the owner of the personal workspace.
But this is fine for now. Rick, don't set edit=yes for this Walbridge Park article.
A short time ago, I edited the Toledo parks page and added the wiki link for Walbridge Park. Check the source for that page to see what I mean.
Since the Walbridge Park page already existed, the software made the connection to this article.
When I edited the Toledo parks page, I didn't add the URL for this article which is:
http://www.toledotalk.com/cgi-bin/tt.pl/article/2660/Walbridge_Park
I simply surrounded the text 'Walbridge Park' with double brackets. (The single quotes were not used.)
The other day, I created an article called Healthy Toledo which is based upon a brochure I picked up last weekend. The minor problem is, I also created this article in my workspace, instead of navigating down from Lewiki home. So it's going to happen.
The Healthy Toledo article is not a personal opinion or rant or observation about something on my street, so it belongs underneath Lewiki Home.
I probably need to make the Lewiki Home link more prominent somewhere.
I added the link for the Healthy Toledo article to the Toledo, Ohio:Health Care page, which is where I should have created the Healthy Toledo article to begin with via a wiki link.
I realize it's easier to create an article by clicking on the 'post' link instead of finding the right location and adding a wiki link. As long as content is created and organized, that's fine. Most of the stuff I have created here belongs in my personal workspace area and not underneath Lewiki Home.
Opinions and personal interests belong in your personal workspace. A neutral point of view informational page like historymike's Lathrop House article probably belongs somewhere underneath Lewiki Home. If the article is created via a wiki link under lewiki home, then anyone can edit it and add to the article.

What a lovely picture. I know this spot well, and I think that many people have passed a few pleasant minutes here over the years.
