- Blueberry season by Common Monkey Flower - talking about picking locally grown blueberries. We buy blueberries from the Phoenix Earth Food Co-Op. The co-cop picks them at a farm just up the road in Michigan that doesn't spray chemicals on the blueberries. Local blueberries become available by the beginning of July. Still some available now, but time is running out. Last year, I bought three lugs of blueberries at the end of July at a produce stand across the line. We made freezer jam and put the rest in freezer bags.

About 27 thousand people from Wrocław, south western Poland, set off on an annual walking pilgrimage to the major Marian shrine in Jasna Góra, southern Poland. The Wrocław pilgrimage is one of 22 similar initiatives around Poland. All the groups marching to the Jasna Góra Marian Shrine are followed by the Catholic internet service http://opoka.org.pl, where those who stayed at home can follow the route and join in prayers.
