Has anyone used the Toledo Freecycle at yahoo groups? I was checking it out, just to see what they have. We have a lot of stuff to give away, and thought it might be useful. Any experience with this, here or in other cities?

Toledo Freecycle is a great group. The site managers do a very good job to weed out any spam. I have gave away a lot of items and was very impressed with the pick ups. Also I have seen ads in both CL and TF for an item at the same time. I'd suggest posting in both groups. You might get a better turn out.

You might want to also look into the Lucas County Cafe group. Freecycle is a great resource, but many that I know of ran into "problems" because of the cliquishness of it. If you're in the "in" group, you can get away with and do pretty much whatever you want. If you're not, your posts could very well be edited to the point that they make no sense.

I normally use craigslist to freecycle something
Last time I had memberships on yahoo in groups i got a lot of spam in my daily digests
