Costco

Who else here is geeked about Costco finally being open? And did anybody go today? I was there Friday for a membership but didn’t see the inside.

I was there today - looks just like Sam's to me. Nice that there is finally something on this side of town. I am still trying to figure out if I can make up for the membership price.

Has anyone ever put the work into figuring out what the average person saves, just buying everyday items (primarily groceries, paper, and cleaning products)?

we had the exact same question, MTR...

Will we save more than the $50 yearly membership fee by purchasing items there?

7 pound cans of chili.
that's all you need to know.
i think it has electrolytes, too.

and scripts run by the same pricing model as anyone else (how novel). the company makes about 15% profit on everything it sells.

Rite Aid, Walgreens, Meijer, Target, Walmarts etc. see their Pharma dealings as massive profit centers. Like sometimes scripts are said to cost 1/3 to 1/2 the price at Costco compared to its competitors.

I also believe the pharma part is open to the public per federal laws, but please call to confirm this. I just say no and I don't condone drugs at all.

Or just click this link for a nice tidbit about costco:

4th sentence didn't make sense. it should say anything else, meaning everything they sell in the store.
i appreciate your patience.
