The "Dirty Harry" of violations seems to be costing the city more money everytime I hear her name. More charges have been filed against her. Here's the link.

From reading the story in the paper, I didn't totally understand what was going on here.
Did the City of Toledo just come in and confiscate this guy's vehicles, for no valid reason ? Without any advance notice or warning ?
Secondly, that area of town is pretty much industrial. What if he did have several cars sitting around on his property ? Really, who cares ?
If property taxes are being paid on the property, the "business owner" should be allowed to do what he wants with the property.
A friend of mine, that lives in W. Toledo (off Tremainsville) near Laskey, told me a similar story several months ago. He said someone from the city of Toledo, came on his property (at his house) and talked to him, about a truck he had, sitting on his (paved) driveway, behind his house.
The city employee, was trying to tell my friend, he couldn't keep the truck there. It wasn't even a box truck or anything like that.

The city is getting more and more desperate for revenue-any kind of revenue. This is only the beginning, I'm afraid.
Sue's going to be replaced after the new adminstration is elected and sworn in. Her days are numbered, so she's sucking up to Carty in the hopes of him helping her after he's out...

And how soon do you think it will be before this man simply moves his business over some nearby city, county or state border, and continues to service the same customers with no change except for no longer paying taxes to toledo?
