A possible candidate for the 2009 Toledo mayoral election?

Excerpts from an Oct 4, 2007 Man_with_the_muck_rake blog posting titled Quigley for Toledo Mayor :

Chad Quigley is contemplating a run for mayor of Toledo. He has the chutzpah to pull it off. He has begun a new blog for the purpose of introducing himself and his ideas to his fellow Toledoans.

He lives in the inner city and has spent a great deal of time bringing new life back to home on Putnam Street. Chad has been very active in neighborhood improvement and safety. Unfortunately and not unusual, he has run into red tape when trying to deal with city bureaucracy.

Excerpts from an Oct 4, 2007 Wannabe Mayor blog posting titled Starting Anew :

Welcome honored guests and political junkies. I'm starting this blog to explore my "Mayoral Side". In this effort, I hope to shed the light on what I believe to be what we Toledoans need. I will expose what I think is stupid and highlight what I think can and should be done to improve our life as a City.

My hope is that by taking the common sense approach, folks will begin to understand the need and requirement for total reform here in Toledo. I'm a firm believer in building a strong team of smart, common sense people that can take what is and transform it into a workable, practical and affordable City Government.

All is fair in love and war. I Love Toledo and it's war when the leaders fail.

And if he doesn't win, he'll just burn the city down.

I kid, I kid.

Which one?? ;-) I'm flattered, shocked and appauled..hehehe I do kinda like "Flip This City". It is, in a way, exactly what needs to happen. We need to re-build the City, the Government and then "Sell" it. By "Sell it", I mean sell the beauty of living here and draw in at least a 8% population growth. this will halt the exodos. But..I'm just tossing ideas around .....
