Fire Breathing Dragon in Toledo!

When Nikki and I were downtown over the weekend walking to the bar, we got out of my car and we heard this noise coming from this building across the road we both look over and then up and we see what looks like flames? lol we didnt say anything just looked at it and then it dissapered....lol Nikki says what the hell was that? I said that's weird, maybe someone was welding/working ont he building and she goes at 11 pm at night...lol we just brushed it off....then two minutes later we leave the bar to go to my car and when we come out we swear to god there is a dragon sitting on top of this building with its legs hanging over...we sat there for a few minutes waiting to see if it doesnt anything...and it doesnt...and I was pretty sure we both were like what the hell?

It's right across the street from the new "st clair pub" aka durty bird, club fusion, and homeslice pizza I believe......

if anyone know what I'm talking about? help? ha

I've seen that before on St. Clair street. I'm not sure who put it on top of the building, but it is a neat little sculpture. Granted, I've only seen it spout flames once, and that was after a Hens game when I was walking to Homeslice Pizza.

I think it breathes fire on the hour, like a clock.

My friend's father and step mother own the building but I don't know the story behind the dragon.

The dragon has been laying on the parapet for about 7 years. It is all stainless steel. It is 13 feet long and weighs about 500 pounds. It was built in the shop below the dragon. It is on a timer and is set for 8:00, 8:31,9:02, 9:33, 10:04, 10:35 p.m. Sometimes it gets confused by Daylight Savings time. The eyes also shine red for one minute after it breathes fire.It was inspired by a dragon atop a building in Montreal; but the latter didn't breathe fire. Jack Wilson

Thank you Jack for the information. I will try to take my boys down there tonight to witness it.
