People playing in the snow on Jan 28, 2007

Some good photos in a Jan 29, 2007 Toledo Blade article

Toledo got its largest snowfall in more than 13 months yesterday — about 2 inches that fell by last night was the most new accumulation the city has seen in one day since Dec. 15, 2005 — and residents headed to the hills for sledding and the stores for winter gear.

Emily Smith, 9, and pal Sudra catch their wind after a slide down the hill behind Harvard Elementary School in South Toledo. Legions of sledders took to their favorite coasting hills yesterday as ideal snow and temperature conditions made for family fun.

Nelson Shaffer of Toledo finally gets to use his new cross-country skis at Ottawa Park as the area was blanketed by nearly two inches of snow yesterday — the heaviest snowfall in 13 months.
