Weight Loss

Anyone have any suggestions for Weight loss pills? Just say you wanted to drop a few pounds nothing to extreme….. Just wonder if anyone has had luck with a certain product. I tried Ultra 90 and it did nothing what so ever for me.

I dont think you're going to find a miracle cure out there - they've been selling them since the horse and buggy days tho...

The latest one I enjoyed said this: Take at bedtime on an empty stomach with a full glass of water...

Ok, so how does one make it to bedtime with an empty stomach?? Not snacking maybe? And the full glass of water? You'd be suprised at just how many people out there dont drink enough water - and you'd be FLOORED at how many people out there dont drink ANY water at all, EVER!!

Coffee and water with powdered flavor added to it doesnt count.

Good luck in your quest, but if it's just a few lbs off you want, try getting your daily eight in - 8 glasses of water. That might be just enough to flush out the couple lbs you want to drop.

Prepare each meal yourself. A 1 degree separation from God's green planet is a good rule of thumb. If you're buying packaged food and your 6 six year old niece can't read or recognize a word in the ingredients, it might me a good rule of thumb that it's less than healthy and probably not worth eating.

Pill popping is a short cut to addiction. But try a placebo, they're the most effective pill ever produced and harmless if you must.

Or get a pair of decent running shoes and try to wear them out. You were designed to hunt and gather, not eat assembly line crap.

stooks - if you're male, simply watching salt intake could help. I had to cut down on my salt so hubby did as well...he dropped weight as a result because salt helps retain water. Unfortunately, that seems easier for men than for women.

The key to dropping any weight is to get into an exercise routine - 30 minutes per day. The book hubby bought ("You on a diet," followup to "You, the owner's manual) says weight training was better than walking...

Drinking water also helps as it keeps you feeling full...

Good luck - and if you find some magic pill, let us all know!

Another thing many people don't think of when trying to lose weight is diet pop. It is a HUGE source of water retention!

If it were as easy as taking a pill to lose weight, no one would be fat.

I agree that there is no such thing as a simple pill for a person to lose 10-15 pounds.

There is however a rather simple program for those with 50 or more pounds to lose. The program consists of a pill and a self-administered shot twice daily. The pill is Metformin and the shot is Byetta.

I was really heavy and was having knee problems because of my heft. I went to my doctor in November, 2006 and was put on this program. I've lost more than 50 pounds since then, with no denial or exercise. I'm still no featherweight at 230 lbs., but my knees don't hurt much at all anymore.

This is by prescription only and might be expensive (my insurance covered both). It sure is less expensive than knee replacement.

Happy New Year,

Heroin and Crack-Cocaine are effective remedies, however, I will stop short of recommending them.

I used to take these pills to try to knock off some weight, but they didn't work at all for me. But then my mother told me they WOULD work if I kept the pills at her house. Why would that make a difference?... who knows. I decided to humor her, though, and did what she said. I took two 20mg pills of Gedoffurass each day. I'd walk to her house (she lives about ten blocks from me) and take one in the morning and then trek back again after dinner time to take another one in the evening. I kept this up for about two months and... believe it or not... I ended up losing 10 pounds!

What kind of side effects are you looking for?

Why pursue weight loss as opposed to getting healthier in general?

The best weight loss pill is a good diet and a membership at Bally's, or any local club. Of course, this only works if you use the membership....
I think this ranks as another example of the "I want it now, now, now" mentality.
"I SHOULD get a raise just because I've been working here for a year, despite the fact I've been late and lazy"
Try working for something. You'll feel a lot better in the end.

I wouldn't consider myself fat. Just have put on a few pounds over the holidays....let me restate...I wasn't clear on looking for a pill to help along with running that I have started to do daily.

Salt...good one...I love salt. :(

the diet pop thing I have heard about I hear it makes it harder for weight loss. I am cutting out most of my pop intake and switching to water and juice. (Low Calorie Juice that is) We'll see in a few weeks if I have started to feel better.
I was told at GNC that zantrex3 would be a good option along with a good diet and exercise.
GOTTA LOVE THE HOLIDAYS
;)

Most packaged food is preserved with salt for a longer shelf life. Shelf life is important to profit margins.

Sea salt w/o additives generally has more nutrients. It tastes much better.

By the time you're considering a weight-loss pill, you're basically a lost cause. Good luck and I hope you don't get addicted or find other health problems that arise.

Other than that, eat right, eat less, and exercise a bit more. That will do the same thing. Merely eating less makes a fairly big difference. But you already stopped listening to this advice a while ago, so I'll direct it to the general population.
