• Blueberry season by Common Monkey Flower - talking about picking locally grown blueberries. We buy blueberries from the Phoenix Earth Food Co-Op. The co-cop picks them at a farm just up the road in Michigan that doesn't spray chemicals on the blueberries. Local blueberries become available by the beginning of July. Still some available now, but time is running out. Last year, I bought three lugs of blueberries at the end of July at a produce stand across the line. We made freezer jam and put the rest in freezer bags.
