Neighborhood Correspondents

Neighborhood reporting based upon the zip code a user lives in. A user should write one article per month about something within his or her zip code.1

Need a detailed map that outlines the zip code areas.

This map defines the borders of the zip codes for Toledo, but it doesn't show the street names. May be good enough if nothing better is created.

The Google maps mashup at PropertyMaps.com uses the "polylines" feature in Google maps to draw the borders for the zip code entered. The mapping project uses data from the government to draw the county and zip code lines. The website makes the data available for download. Interestingly, the map also shows census information for the zip code given.

Instead of recreating a similar mapping project, users should access the PropertyMaps.com map and zoom in to get street names in order to get a rough idea of what area is covered by the user's zip code.
