Tigers started the season 0-7. After April 11, their record is 2-8, four games behind the Kansas City Royals. The Royals? Well, it is April. The Indians are 4-6. It could be a weak division where a team wins it with a .500 record.

At least the 2008 start is not nearly as bad as 2003. Apr 17, 2003 Toledo Talk posting titled "The hapless Detroit Tigers":http://www.toledotalk.com/cgi-bin/comments.pl/18/182 :
bq. _"Before yesterday's baseball action, the Tigers were 10 games out of first place after only playing 12 games."_
The 2003 Tigers were one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball history.
Anyway, the disappointing 2008 Tigers start is probably not as bad as this sketch might indicate.
