For the third year in a row, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Great Places to Work Institute have listed Root Learning among the nation's best small companies to work.
Board games and random toys are scattered throughout the building and a giant gorilla named Cocoa sits quietly among graphic artists and designers. Production service manager Jason Cash says, "This is just the type of place where you want to come to work. The days go fast and it's interesting and fun all of the time."
Jason Cash has worked for the business consulting firm for eight years. He and other employees say they aren't surprised the company was named one of the best to work for. Many claim Root is the best job they've had. Tech. and Consumer Products director David Kalman says, "No comparison, especially in the Toledo marketplace. It's very tough to find an organization that supports the creativity the way that we do."
Roots Learning specializes in team building. It's one of two northwest Ohio companies to be ranked. Findlay-based The Right Thing was number three this year in medium-size companies.
