Article source for : Restaurant review - Chowders n Moor

Sunday afternoon I found myself out on Airport highway looking at rocks at the local sand and stone places, and lunchtime rolled around.

We were out on airport, and the former Albon Inn, (now Sammys) was closed, so we pulled in to Chowders n Moor, and had a very good meal!

It's mostly a soup and sandwich place, but I did see some steak and some fish dinner entrees on the menu...

The interior is all nautical, which reminded me of some of the Put In Bay places. They also offered an outdoor patio with umbrella covered picnic tables.

When I go to a new place, I always try their 'specialty of the house', and the ciabatta sandwich I got was wonderful, and HUGE. Truth be told, unless you're REAL hungry, I wouldnt recommend getting a whole - next time I'll just order half, and get a cup of their house specialty chicken chili.

This is their second location, the first being in waterville. Waterville's nice, but very small. this is much larger.

I dont get out that way much, if I can help it, but you can get out there via the country roads to avoid all the traffic.
