Article source for : Local Scam Alert: Snapp Marketing based in Holland (formerly known as FMC - Fundamental Marketing Concepts)

The company called Snapp Marketing proclaims themselves to be a "new marketing company" in the area.

However, they are simply a business that keeps changing names to dodge their bad reputation. The company was formerly known as Fundamental Marketing Concepts (FMC)...a company that misrepresents themselves as doing "charity work." They con people into purchasing products outside local stores, stating that the proceeds are "going to charity"...which is definitely stretching the truth. Unfortunately, "stretching the truth a little" is just the tip of the iceberg for these crooks.

Check out this press release from the Auglaize County Sheriff about this company's Holland office (press release also includes comments from Lucas County law enforcement):

Snapp Marketing is doing a huge advertising push for marketing positions - you should avoid them like the plague. Check out the comments on the RipOffReport about their parent company and the assorted names they have done business under:

And finally, a word to the wise...if you see these folks selling items outside local stores proclaiming that the profits are going to "charity," be forewarned...the fact that these people are lying to you about the money going to charity isn't even the worst part. They will use your personal financial information fraudulently after you make your purchase.

Which leads me to my personal story of how this company ripped me off: In February of this year, I purchased a cute puzzle from them at the Pharm (Monroe/Secor). The proceeds were supposed to go to missing children's organizations. I thought my kids would like the puzzle, so I made the purchase.

Unfortunately, I learned yesterday (7 months after I bought the puzzle) that the group made a fraudulent withdrawal from my bank account on September 11th! I should be able to resolve the issue with my bank, but feel that its only fair to warn people in the community what I've learned about this group. I discovered their shady history of scamming people, changing business names, and starting the process all over again. Was appalled to see how many "jobs" they are advertising in Toledo...sad that many people desperate for jobs in this local economy might get sucked in.

If you choose to seek employment with them or to make a purchase from them, don't say you haven't been warned. :)
